SHADOWS FALL "The War Within"
by Lord Satyr Filth

Cover: 10 Depressing Images out of 10
This is a great cover, very dark images on what appears to be a book set among the clouds, but what do I know. There are little pictures of various people surrounding this bigger picture of a face that is rubbed out, very stark in emotions. Did that make sense? This would make a great vinyl LP for the cover alone.

Booklet: 10 Dreadlocks out of 10
I have a promo of this as it is not out yet but they dressed this up very well with their accomplishments so far and how they are getting promoted this time around. If they did this just for the promo, I can imagine what they will do for the finished product. Come on Century Media, don't be cheap on this one.

Songs: 10 Violent Moshpits out of 10
What can I say about this CD, it is perfect. I have listened to the songs, all 10 of them, over and over and I cannot find a single thing to bitch about. Wait, yes I can, it could be longer, there, I bitched. As I went through the songs I really noticed attention to detail to playing, guitar solos, production, everything. Whether you are a metal fan, a death fan or just a fan of hard rock, you will find something on here that you will be into. If you don't you are deaf and have no business listening to music anyway. Brian really can sing along with his trademark growls and I am stoked that he made the extra effort to showcase that talent that he has kept hidden. Whether it is the Light That Blinds, Act Of Contrition, Enlightened By Cold (my favorite) or Stillness, you cannot go wrong here, with anything.

Comments: Yes, I gave everything a 10 because everything is a 10, period. I am not riding their nuts or sucking them off, I am genuinely impressed by this incredible disc. The contents are nothing short pf perfect and you know something, if you do not go out and buy this record, something is wrong with you.
