Cover: 5
Southern Isolations out of 10.
I see a pentagram and pot leaves. Metal enough.
Booklet: 5
Downs out of 10.
Thank God there are lyrics in here, otherwise you'd have no idea what
Phil is saying. There are also some credits and thanks. Nothing too
exciting though.
Songs: 7
Panteras out of 10.
Every song starts off with, "1,
2, 3, 4." What's up with that? Anyway, this CD is simply pissed
off. This CD bitch slaps all my other CDs in my CD rack. It's always
looking for a fight. One time it even spit on me as I walked by, and
when I looked back it flipped me off while it was smoking a joint. As
for the songs, there are 14 tracks, with some songs being as short as
1:17 and others being as long as 5:14. Phil screams his balls off and
you can't even make out half of what he's saying. Even if he's saying
something cool, have no idea. He could be screaming about the milk in
his refrigerator for all I know. I can only take that for so long. For
somebody who smokes so much pot, it certainly doesn't mellow him out.
The riffs are good, the drumming is rather intense, and it's pretty
much what you'd expect this to be. Right now I'm listening to "Personal
Insult" and Phil just said, "Fight us, the American public.
The most pissed off motherfuckers in the world." Kinda sums up
this CD.
Comments: I loved Pantera
and all, but some of this makes them sound like Trixter. Ok, maybe not,
but it's brutal stuff. You can only listen to this in parts because
if you listen to the entire thing all at once you'll start bleeding
from the ears and knocking people's jaws loose.
