LINKIN PARK "Meteora"
by bastard boy floyd

Cover: 5 Turn Tables out of 10.
It's one of the guys in the band spray painting the artwork that is inside the booklet. I'm too stupid to figure out if this has some sort of meaning or something.

Booklet: 10 Samples out of 10.
It's the size of a small novel with a million pictures, lyrics, the story behind each song, and all sorts of shit. Can't bitch about this at all. It's very well done and thought out. It makes you feel like you are getting something special the way it's presented, even if you're not.

Songs: 6 Angst Filled Lyrics out of 10.
Almost every song goes through the same pattern. Rap verses and screaming choruses. Most of the lyrics deal with relationship and somebody being dicked over and after a few songs it becomes like, "yo dude, get over it. Go get a blow job and be happy." There are some cool riffs and melodies going on, and it's not bad. The longest song on the CD is just 3:33 and the total time is 36 minutes, so every track is ready for radio play. It follows in the footsteps of their first CD and it's not much of a change. My favorite track is probably "Faint" just in case you were wondering. It's one of those CDs that you listen to for maybe a few songs but you don't listen to it all the way through.

Comments: The limited edition packaging comes with a DVD on the making of "Meteora" and the CD itself has a bunch of bonus stuff as well. I like free shit and bonus stuff so it's a good value. More bands should try to do shit like that.
