DOPE "Group Therapy"
by Ozzy Stillbourne

Cover: 3 Dreadlocks out of 10.
Boring. Lame. Just the Dope name inside a red cross.

Booklet: 7 Dropped Bands out of 10.
Lyrics, spooky drawings, and played out band photos. The whole dreadlock look is played out. Somebody needs to pass a law making it illegal for white guys to have dreadlocks.

Songs: 7 Murderdolls out of 10.
After Edsel Dope's Rewind with us last year, he came off like such a self-important douche bag that it makes it hard to review this and be fair. Yet again, this is Metal Sludge and I'm Ozzy Stillbourne, so since when do we have to be fair? In that case, Edsel's a bitch but the songs here aren't bad. Not as good as their last CD "Life" but there is some good, angry energy here. Some of the more mellow stuff like "Sing," "Another Day Goes By," and "Easier" are weak but the more aggresive stuff like "Bitch," "Motivation," "Today Is The Day," and "Burn" aren't too bad. Good for playing loud and trying to out run the cops. Nothing reinvents the wheel or is that much of a departure from their previous shit, but it holds up for what it is.

Comments: I will have to give credit where credit is due. These guys shot a video for every song on this disc and they're all included here. I had this CD for a month before I figured out that if you put the CD into your computer you can watch the videos, but fuck you, I'm sure you didn't realize that either. For the most part, the videos are all different enough and have their own concept, so I don't remember any other band doing that in recent years. The video for "Bitch" features some lesbian sex too.
