THE WILDHEARTS "Riff After Riff After Motherfucking Riff"
by Jani Bon Neil

Cover: 6 Riffs out of 10.
The shot is Ginger and Danny walking past a Wildhearts poster outside a venue.
Good enough for me.

Booklet: 6 Riffs out of 10.
This actually has the lyrics to the songs, which is good because sometimes I have no idea what Ginger is singing. It also includes some live photos and thanks.

Songs: 10 Riffs out of 10.
I'm not gonna lie - I've liked everything The Wildhearts have ever done, except for maybe the "Endless, Nameless" CD. This CD is classic Wildhearts. Good riffs and along with the typical Wildhearts tempo changes and mood swings, which means one minute the song is going along and the next minute it almost sounds like a different song.
They're great at doing that and I never find it boring. "Riff After Riff After Motherfucking Riff" is a Japanese only EP with 7 tracks because the Japanses always get the cool shit. It comes in around 25 minutes. My favorites are "Looking For The One" and "O.C.D." which has an interesting middle section. All the songs have the potential to be stuck in your head after only a listen or two.

Comments: This is the original Wildhearts lineup with CJ on guitar, Danny on bass, Stidi on drums, and of course Ginger singing. If you can find it on import I'd say pick it up! And pick up their old shit too if you can find it.
