Cover: 9
Jack Osbournes out of 10.
Not as good as last year since the Satan looking creature is only giving
the metal horns instead of the finger. It's still very metal, so I'm
fine with it.
Booklet: 6
Jack Osbournes out of 10.
Typical live album with photos of each band on here. It doesn't say
which city this was recorded in and who really gives a fuck?
Songs: 6
Jack Osbournes out of 10.
16 live tracks featuring bands from this year's OzzFest. It's a live
album and most of the bands sound sober enough. Instead of going over
the songs, I'll just fucking tell you what songs I'm going to listen
to when I put this in my CD player. I'm going to go to track 5 for Drowning
Pool's version of Metallica's "Creeping Death." Kind of an
ironic song to cover since Dave Williams died before this came out.
Anyway, I'd then go to track 7 for Black Label Society's "Berserkers"
and then onto track 8 for Down's "Ghosts Along The Mississippi."
Then I'd go to track 10 for Soil's "Halo" featuring Zakk Wylde
on guitar. That's 4 tracks out of 16. Your mileage may vary for the
rest of it. Stay away from track 16 though. Andrew W.K. does
one of his stupid songs with Kelly Osbourne called "She's So Beautiful"
and all I have to say it She's So Not Singing Live. It has the worst
studio overdub I've ever heard. It sounds like Kelly's not there and
she's just singing along with him in a studio. It's really beyond gay.
It sucks so much it's almost worth hearing.
Comment: A CD you listen to a
few times then you put it away and forget you have it.
