Cover:
4 Tijuana Jails out of 10.
Just Gilby and his guitar. It looks like the cover
of a country CD more than a rock CD. Of course the sticker on the cover
says "New Album From Former Guns N Roses Guitarists" to milk
in a few GNR fans that actually thought Gilby was a real member.
Booklet: 3
Tijuana Jails out of 10.
Everything is easy to read with the musicians
listed for each song and a few pictures of Gilby, but nothing exciting.
It's all basically white with minimal recording credits and thanks.
The layout is good and looks professional for what it is.
Songs: 7
Tijuana Jails out of 10.
This is your typical Gilby Clarke CD
with more songs about Mexico and drinking. It's a straight ahead rock
album ala Aerosmith in the 70s. Tracii Guns plays guitar on the first
two tracks, "Alien," and "Under The Gun" which are
good, solid rock songs. There really isn't a song on this CD that sucks,
well "Heart Of Chrome" is kind of lame and dated, but the
production is good throughout. It's just a solid, old school rock CD.
Stefan Adika plays the bass on a few songs and Pussy List victims Eric
Singer and Brent Fitz do drum duty on some of the tracks.
Comments: If
this album wasn't on Spitfire and radio played normal rock songs, this
CD probably wouldn't do bad.
