TRIXTER "Trixter" (1990)
by Ozzy Stillbourne

Having me review this CD is obviously Jani Bon Neil's idea of a fucking joke. Ok fucker, I'll play along. I mean it could be worse, I could have been stuck doing Pretty Boy Floyd.

Cover: 5 Comics out of 10.
The cover is suppose to look like a comic book. It's all cartoony and shit which I guess fits.

Booklet: 6 Hair Bands out of 10.
This thing fucking folds out into a cute little poster of the guys and also has lyrics and more cartoon shit. It has the typical credits and thanks.

Songs: 5 Studio Musicians out of 10.
These are basically glamorized demos. The production sucks and the sound doesn't hold up to the test of time. "Give It To Me Good" was really the only song that did anything, though "One In A Million" and "Surrender" did make it onto MTV too, which just goes to show you that MTV would fucking play anything back then. This is safe, friendly, chick rock which got these guys laid but not much of a real fucking career.

Comments: In Peter Loran's 20 Questions we asked him who really played on the CD and he said that he and Steve Brown were on this album, which leads me to believe that PJ Farley and Mark Scott weren't. Trixter, or their record label, also lied about their age and said they were a lot younger than they really were. This is a good CD to whip out at a party if you want to get your ass beat.
