SHOTGUN MESSIAH "Second Coming" (1991)
by bastard boy floyd

Cover: 5 Heartbreak Blvds out of 10.
It's the band in the desert with the singer's arms out to his side and his head tilted back. Looks like something Love/Hate would have done.

Booklet: 6 Heartbreak Blvds out of 10.
Lyrics, credit, thanks, and some pictures. What else do you want?

This is a pretty good CD. "Heartbreak Blvd" was a song that had some success at radio stations like Z-Rock. They had a more in-your-face sound and plenty of aggression. Good songs to play while your speeding are "Sexdrugsrocknroll," and "Can't Fool Me." The two slower songs on the album, "Living Without You," and "Ride The Storm" are sort of sappy and gay, but otherwise it's all pretty cool.

Comments: Shotgun Messiah's next album after this one was "Violent New Breed" where they pretened they were fucking Ministry or Nine Inch Nails. They then went around and saying they were never a hairband or wore makeup. Of course that album flopped on it's ass and the band broke up.
