Our Metal Sludge Extravaganza #9 in Los Angeles is only 4 days away! Naturally, a good chunk of out-of-town Sludgeaholics wait til the last minute to come to L.A. for the party, but some of you are on the ball and come in a few days early.

We often get e-mail sent to us by Sludgeaholics who want to know what's going on in town, where to go, what to do, etc. Well, that's what the Metal Sludge L.A. Tour Guide is for! But of course, that doesn't list any current events, so we understand your plight. But never fear: Metal Sludge is here to help!

For all of you who care, here is an outline of things to do starting today just for you early birds.

Monday 9/13

Mondays suck, until about 9:PM. That's when The Roxy heats up and everyone waits for Metal Skool to kick your ass. Oh yeah, and the Rainbow next door is cool as well. Go to the 'Bow" to watch some Monday night football, eat some pizza and maybe even see Bret Michaels, Mark McGrath or Lemmy Kilmeister. There is always a good chance to see someone famous. Even if it is a member of Rhino Bucket, Odin or Beautiful Creatures.

Dinner is served, arrive between 6:PM & 9:PM.

Tuesday 9/14

Hmmm, why not do something dirty. How about a Strip Club? Well there are many, so let's do this. If you're in the Valley (818) you should check out the 'Valley Ball" in Van Nuys or the "Spearmint Rhino" which is also in Van Nuys. If you're in Hollywood (323) the Sunset Strip has the famous "7th Veil", "The Body Shop" and of course there is "Crazy Girls" right off Susnet on La Brea. If you're down by LAX (310) then you can hit "Bare Elegance", "The Jet Strip" or one of 20+ massage parlors.

Wednesday 9/15

The Joint on Pico is Promoted & Presented by someone who refuses to take no for an answer. He'll hand you a flyer, you'll put it in your pocket, and he'll hand you another 10 minutes later. If you tell him that your flying to Texas for a wedding that day, he'll ask if you're flying back that night. Because if you are, he thinks you should come down. He's relentless, he's non-stop, he's none other than Happenin' Harry. How "Happenin'" he really is will be up to you to decide. Mentioning who has jammed at his shows would be like name dropping, and it would take a week to write all of the names down. So, we'll just list the people who have NOT jammed at a Happenin' Harry event, 'cause it will be easier: Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa, & Jim Morrison have NOT appeared. Everyone else has pretty much kicked out the jams at one of Harry's events. Or been kicked out (cough-C.C. DeVille-cough) for being drunk, disorderly and refusing to leave the stage.

Thursday 9/16

Gee what should we plug for tonight? How about Club Vodka/Pink Pussycat? Great Idea. This is a weekly event that has had endless stars appear and perform at. These names include Nikki Sixx, Vince Neil, Slash, Duff, Michael Monroe, LA Guns, Ratt, Great White, Quiet Riot and many others. There is always some amazing looking half nude (topless = yes) dancers as well. House Djs include Julian "Mr. 80's" Douglas & KNAC's DJ WIll. This week will be spectacular as always with performances by TUFF, Sick Sex, Trash Daddy, & Sick Trigger.

Friday 9/17

A Friday night has endless choices when you're in Hollywood California. But this week is going to be reserved for taking over the Rainbow Bar & Grill. To all of our friends, fans and guests. Wear your Sludgendise and represent the MSE9 pre-show bash at this legendary watering hole. Bring a camera, say hi to all of the staff, tip them, eat, drink, be merry, drive safe, get laid and enjoy it. Be there or you suck!

Saturday 9/18

This is the official home of the Metal Sludge Extravaganza for the West Coast. Paladinos has hosted several of our events and they always pull it off on a next level. Click this link to go to the main page for MSE9 now! Oh yeah, be there early or watch & listen from the parking lot.

Sunday 9/19

A hot spot on Sunday during the day is Melrose. This is the famous street lined with dozens of shops, and hundreds to thousands of locals and/or tourists gather. Bring sun block, money and a cell phone. Oh and if you're from out of town, bring a camera. You might just see Paris Hilton, Carmen Electra, or Dj Ashba hanging out at Johnny Rockets. There are motorcycles, hot cars, expensive clothes, great food, models, rockers, actors and wannabes galore. Stars, studs and slutty chicks wearing almost nothing. This is a hot spot between 11:AM and 4:PM every Sunday.

Later in the afternoon it's always hip to visit the Sagebrush Cantina as well. That is if you're kicking it in the Valley (818). This place goes off from around 3:PM until whenever. Also, Sunday nights is another one of Happenin' Harry's events. Every Sunday night The Cat Club goes off from about 10:PM until they push you out the door.
