Here is our Sludgeaholic of the Month for October. He turns 15 today, wants to be in an 80s hair metal style band and says his Dad cranks Def Leppard when he picks him up from school. How cool is that?
1. Who are you, where are you from, and how old are you?
My name is Colin Chomu, I'm 14 years old, and am turning 15 on October 5. I am a sophomore, in High School.
2. Ambitions:
My ambitions, are to be in an 80s hair metal style band. Also, to see Guns and Roses, Van Hallen with Dave of course, Poison, and meet as many rockstars as I can on the way.
3. Turn-ons & Turn offs?
Turn-ons for me, are a girl with a good personality, as well as a girls that's hot, and loves the same music as I do, and wont get mad when I talk to other people besides her.
Turn-offs, are blonde bimbos who think that they are hot Tuna (origional band name only), and a girl who wants to decide who I hang out with, whose my friends, and what I can and cant do. And girls that expect you to buy them everything under the sun.
4. Favorite bands & least faves?
My favorite bands, are Guns and Roses, Poison, Motley Crue, Van Hallen with Dave, Cheap Trick, Butch Walker, Dokken, Cinderella, Def Lepard, Ramones, and most other hair metal bands. Also, from now, Bowling For Soup, produced by Butch, Avenged Sevenfold, who I like, but they aren't quite my favorite.
Least favorites, are Nirvana, Slipknot, Limp Biscuit, any other down tuned screaming band, Alanis Morisette. RAP
5. How long have you been coming to Metal Sludge?
I first came to Metal Sludge when my dad told me about Exposed, that was over a year ago, and I've been going ever since
6. What do you do for a living besides go to school & sponge off your parents?
I'm still 14, almost 15, so I cant get a job yet. Although, I'm formiong a band that is both 80s hair tribute, and 80s hair style band.
7. Most of the music you listen to was released many years before you were even born. Yet, you're fully up on your hair band shiznit -- was your mom a Warrant groupie or was Dad a roadie for Sweet FA?
The reason that I'm so informed, is because I have a longhaired dad that kept all of his old metal tapes, and Moscow Peace Festival, and music video tapes from the better time. My dad taught me darn near everything that I know, and I think that it is so cool to have a dad that all of your friends want to meet, that drives up to pick you up from school with a dokken shirton with Def Lepard blaring that trys to talk you into going to a concert instaed of vise versa. Infact, the Atomic Punks played at our concerts in the park, and me and my dad went, and I climbed up on stage, and Ralph let me sing a Guns and Roses song with him, and my dad loved it. Its also awesome that I can go up to him, and sing the words to a Faster Pussycat song, and my dad will say, "Gee Colin I don't know I don't listen to Faster Pussycat. I told you, I've forgotten more that you know." sarcastically.
My mom is also awesome, she knows so much about this stuff. Infact, last weekend, we all went to a Cheap Trick and Alice Cooper concert, and we all loved it, and I even got a Rick Pic.
8. Once you get old enough which of our past Sludgettes would you like to bang the most?
Hands down Tamar and Sharon, they are hot on so many levels.
9. How do you feel about being our Ocotber 2005 Sludgeaholic of the Month?
I think that it is so cool that the sludge would have me, a 14 year old as a Sludgeaholic of the month, and seeing a show I haven't told my dad, he'll love it the next time that he logs onto the sludge and I'm a Sludgeaholic, I'd love to see his face.
