EDDIE JACKSON COMMENTS ON HIS 20 QUESTIONS...

and wants to know if he's an asshole or an idiot!

It's been just over a month since we did 20 Questions with Queensr?che bassist Eddie Jackson, yet we still continue to receive more feedback about his interview than any other in recent Metal Sludge history. Why is that, you ask? Go back and read it yourself if you don't already know!

Well, since October 5th (which was when his 20 Questions were posted), we're sure Eddie's received some flak about his interview. Someone's had to have given him some shit, right? Surely he must have been made aware of the mass amount of feedback regarding his answers to our questions. Yet we hadn't heard of any comments coming from the Queensr?che camp or from Eddie himself about all this...

Until now.

Apparently, our pal Jesse Capps from RockConfidential.com interviewed Eddie Jackson last week, and he sort of asked him 'off the record' about his 20 Questions. Here's Jesse's e-mail to us:

I talked to Eddie a few days ago. It just happens to be at http://www.rockconfidential.com/EddieJackson.html

At the end of the interview I asked him about his 20 Q's on Sludge. I told him that question was not for his interview, that I was just curious to know.

I won't post it on RC cuz I told him it wasn't for that interview, BUT I'll let you have it to do with as you please!

Here it is:

JC: What do you think about the feedback from your interview on Metal Sludge?

EJ: I never had a chance to read it. I was afraid to! I was told to have some fun with it, right? Management said, "Eddie, here's 20 questions. Please answer them ASAP. By the way, have some fun with it." Well, I went and had some fun with it and now management's calling me back a week later saying, "What the hell did you write on there?" What are they talking about? They told me to have some fun with that thing. Now I'm getting it from fans on tour. They're saying I don't seem like the same guy that wrote those answers. Some of them tell me I sounded like an asshole on that thing! I should be proud of that, ya know! Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I'm just who I am. If someone's never met me then they don't know what sort of person I am. For those that understand me and know me, I think they didn't have a problem with it. What did you think about it? Did I sound like an asshole or some pompous idiot?

JC: I didn't think you were being an asshole. It just seemed like you were maybe trying a little hard to give them a smartass answer to their smartass questions! I thought you were just playing along.

EJ: Yeah, I was just trying to have some fun with it! (laughs)
