American Pearl Guitarist Kevin Quinn

Wind-Up Records recently came to us and asked if we would be down with doing 20 Questions with Kevin from American Pearl. In case you don't know, Wind-Up Records is also the home of Creed, and American Pearl is one of their newer acts. They had a song on The Scream 3 soundtrack last year and released their debut album last August. Kevin was also a tattoo artist on Sunset Strip for a number of years, so we figured he might have some interesting things to say. Enjoy!

1. What are you currently up to? This is your only chance to plug your shit.
Man if this is my last chance I'm fucked! the next single is going to radio soon , then get out and rock, touring meetin the fans, cause that's what we are, Fans!

2. How many chicks have you tattooed that had to take their panties off to get the tattoo?
ya know? plenty of panties! if not off...off too the side (just so)...or pull'em down (just) a bit!

3. What hard rock/heavy metal band should give it up and call it a day?
all that reunion shit, If I never ever heard Led Zeppelin again that would be just fine w/ me. Give the new bands there time, get rid of the heritage rock revival, let's hear "new rock"

4. Would you prefer to be blind or deaf?
If it meant not haven to listen to L.A. radio DEAF!

12. You guys toured with 3 Doors Down. Do you have any idea how an average bar band like that with no image went Platinum 4 times?
cause there a great fucking band w/ great songs, what else ya need? A saw blade cod piece?

13. Have you ever had to tattoo a guy's dick? If so, isn't that sort of gay?
I never got too, this question is gay! whip it out!

14. How much was your biggest music related paycheck for and what did you do with it?
It was for being smart, and what I do, stopped workin! Just kidden, I'm workin harder than ever!

Nikki Sixx Tats or Tommy Lee's Tats = They were done by the same guy, ?
Jani Lane or Stephen Pearcy = aren't they are the same guy?
Axl Rose or Slash = They both rule!

Lookin back Bart Simpson!, @ least it wasn't O.J. Simpson!

18. Other than Creed, who's the most overrated band today?
Who says there over rated? Show me any band that's sold 10 million records and they gotta have something goin.. The cream rises.

19. Your album has been out since August and you guys have opened for such bands as Creed and Kiss and had your single on radio. But you've only sold around 16,000 units. What's the problem?
U sayin we suck? Look at Appetite! (4 Destruction) U tell me.
Ok, Appetite is 15 times Platinum. You guys aren't up to 20,000 yet after 8 months. Thank you.
