Ontario, CA -- The "Rock N' For A Cure" cancer benefit concert has officially cancelled.

The site here http://www.rockforcure.com/Concert.htm  has been promoting this event for several months. The line up was a solid 6 band bill filled with 80s hairbands, but one would guess it was far fetched to fill or sell out an 11,000 seat arena with this bill. On a Thursday no less. Regardless it was for a great cause and we can only hope that something similar happens down the road. Reason for cancellation has not been given, but word on the street is that the advanced ticket sales had just hit 600. Far to few for such a large venue.

The show was to feature Dokken, LA Guns, Kix, Skid Row & Warrant.  Phil Lewis of LA Guns posted the following message on his official Facebook earlier today.


"I regret to announce next weeks show Oct 18 Rock'n for a Cure / Citizens Bank Arena Ontario, CA has been canceled. I'm not sure exactly why and will notify if and when I find out why the gig went south . We were looking forward to playing for such a good cause with our good friends , I sincerely hope that something else can be put together soon. Phil Lewis - LA Guns"
