Nashville -- It seems like it was yesterday when the news that Vains Of Jenna lead singer Lizzy DeVine was leaving the band. DeVine co-founded the group with bassist JP White in early 2005 and this news shocked the bands sleaze rock fans from Sweden to Los Angeles. Hot Topic kids around the glam globe were bummed out as they had high hopes for Faulkenberg's best kept secret. Well until they played "CrueFest" in Hollywood in the summer of 2005 that is. Then Vains of Jenna was no longer a secret. The band drew immediate comparisons to Guns N' Roses from fans and critics alike - but never lived up to that hype.

Vains of Jenna migrated to Hollywood in the spring of 2006 and took to the streets like the past rock gods of the Sunset Strip did. They played every where. slept in studios or lived with strippers. They rode the city bus and bummed cigarettes off anyone who would give them one. In short time, the Swedish foursome seem to find a huge group of supporters from fans to the legends they followed.

The band was quickly signed to Bam Marger's label Filthy Note and appeared on MTVshows like "Viva La Bam", "Jackass" and "Bam's Unholy Union".Along with the rising hit reality series "LA Ink" starring Kat Von D. The band toured every shit hole club to theatres with groups like Wednesday 13, GWAR, Cradle of Filth, CKY, LA Guns and other up n' comers like Crashdiet, The Last Vegas and Dirty Penny.

In the summer of 2007 the band landed the main stage support slot on the North American Poison/Ratt tour. In a 5 year period the band played over 500 shows in 2 dozen countries and suddenly - it ended. The band didn't have any radio support but tracks like "Enemy In Me", "Get it On" &  "Mind Pollution" were fan faves getting spins in clubs internationally.

DeVine who was born in 1981 was the elder of the group and seemed to be burnt out at the tender age of 28. While Nicki Kin (guitars) and Jacki Stone (drums) had just turned 21 during that infamous summer tour - it somehow peaked and the group in their prime came to an end with the singer's hasty decision. That choice in the spring of 2010 left the band singerless. For the next 18 months the group moved forward with a new voice only to throw in the towel themselves in January of this year.

Now after a few years off Lizzy DeVine says: "I need to start a fucking band again!" on his official Twitter.

Who knows where this will lead, but as those famous words echo, never say never.

We at Metal Sludge would love nothing more than to see those 4 Swede's bury the hair hatchet, strap on their guitars and show Sweden, Hollywood and the rest of the world how BAD ASS this band truly was!
