New Jersey, USA -- Sweden's latest import glam rockers CRASHDIET involved in auto incident on US freeway!

The band are on tour during a short break from the studio and experienced the thrills and spills of the rock n' roll road. Literally. The group was enroute from New York City to a show in Baltimore when their tour van went to hell. According to the bands manager (Michael Sunden); "We were going about 70 MPH headed south on the New Jersey turnpike when the van began to shake violently. That's when the tire blew out." 

The reports are everyone is okay and safe.

The band then had to call 911 for roadside assistance, and the company who rented them the demon van offered up a replacememt the Scandinavian bad boys could not refuse. The band was sent a limousine and driven straight to the "House of Rock" in style.

A review of the Baltimore show HERE revealed the following: “Simon Cruz (vocalist) brought part of a blown out tire onstage & showed the crowd what they had to deal with that day...on route to the show they had a massive tire blow out & this led to the band having an issue after the show too. Apparently the band and their gear had to hitch a ride with fans after the show to their hotel because they had no transportation out of there!”

The band on their first ever East Coast tour says: “We have to thank our fans. We love them. Thank you Baltimore, we will be back soon."

CRASHDIET play New York City for the first time on Friday August 24th at "Webster Hall Studio" with special guests The Last Vegas and WildStreet. The shows promoter Samuel Valentine tells Metal Sludge: "This is the fastest selling pre sale ticket demad we've ever had for a show." Fans are rumored to be driving from Canada, Ohio and as far south as Florida for this show.

CRASHIDET are finishing their fourth studio effort which is due in January 2013. The band also plans a full blown US tour in 2013 in support of the new release.
