Jack Russell comments further on boating accident.
Jack Russell "I must remind myself what a small fishbowl I choose to live in"
Jack Russell checks in with an update on boat accident.
By Metal Sludge
Jack Russell of Great White has been giving Metal Sludge an exclusive update weekly for nearly 3 months now. It's great to see that Jack seems to be conquering some of his most brutal demons, and winning the war against them. Referring to his past partying ways. But like Jack notes below, he is under a microscope and every thing he does, or says is being watched.
Well this week he talked about a drunken sailor sailing into his (Jacks) boat as he was docked watching a movie. Some folks have questioned what happened, and this has caused a stir.
So Jack has sent us the following to clear the air on the incident.
MORE ON THE BOAT ACCIDENT
First of all, I WAS NOT DRINKING, nor have I had a drink in over 9 months. Ye of so little faith....
Tuesday, as you may have heard, a gentleman ran into the back of my boat with his sailboat, while I was docked in my slip in the harbor. After speaking with him, I smelled beer on his breath. I took his information, I.D., slip information,Insurance etc, I then told him to take his boat to his slip. This I watched him do, as he is docked about 75 feet from my boat. I then called the Harbor Patrol and when they came by I told them what had happened and gave them his info. I told them he smelled of beer and I went inside to finish a movie with my wife. I found out today that the Harbor Patrol had gone to see him after the incident and he was not legally intoxicated. I apologize to my neighbor, and anyone else for assuming he was. I, more than most, should understand how it feels to be found guilty without evidence. His insurance co. is paying for the damage and all is well at sea. As for those of you who delight in reading and believing only the headlines, I should be used to it by now and I must remind myself what a small fishbowl I choose to live in. I hope this satisfies your curiosity.
Peace,
Jack Russell
