Here is another tour diary entry from Jack Russell of Great White.

Wow what a week!

We got back from the sold out show in Sanford, Florida and I found out that the Thresher sharks had moved in, so I took the boat out and fished for a  couple of days, got lucky and got a few fish, the biggest weighing in at 270 lbs. 

We left for Vegas on Thursday, checked in and got some sleep. When I got to sound check everything was ready to go and we finished in record time, I had been used to REALLY LOOOOOONG sound checks. Now I have hired tour manager and a front of house sound engineer and it makes things run so much more smoothly, and the sound is so much better due to the fact that when you have the same engineer each show your sound remains consistent, and having a tour manager makes life a lot easier, which in turn leads to a better show for the audience. In my previous situation we had neither, so the sound of the band was kind of up in the air depending on who was doing the sound each night. I would rather spend the extra money and give the fans a better quality show. The Vegas show was great and the band is really starting to get used to performing on stage together. This show was also sold out and the crowd was amazing. 

The next night was in San Diego, CA  ( Ramona actually). It was a great place, but it was in the middle of nowhere so I thought no one would show, but happily I was incorrect. It was close to capacity and the audience was phenomenal, The show went off perfectly.

Sunday I taped "That Metal Show" in Hollywood.  What a blast!  I got to hang out with my old friends, Alice Cooper, Slash, George Lynch, Jeff Pilson and Mick Brown. I had a great time with my old pal Eddie Trunk and Co..  The staff and crew for TMS  were awesome, and the audience was fantastic!  I was truly overwhelmed by the standing ovation I received when I walked out to the set.  

Then we headed over to the world famous Rainbow Bar & Grill on Sunset blvd to celebrate Dario's birthday.  I love my band members and the people around us.  This is all fun again.

All in all it was a hell of a week!
