Coheed & Cambria ditch drug abusing bassist after arrest!
After a bone headed move that landed him on the cover of TMZ in July - Coheed & Cambira bassist Michael Todd will no longer be part of the band going forward. Guess it'll be kind of hard to be in band if your rocking like Ricky in the "18 & Life" video.
What! Metal Sludge are big jerks? No folks, this guy earned a honest opinion, and an even more honest ass kicking from his band. Maybe a little public 'shame on you' will help him change it around!
Of course their letter below "The Future" seems to say all the right things.
"The Future"
After a lot of thought, introspection and discussion, Coheed and Cambria will be continuing our journey without bassist Michael Todd. We have spoken to him and this is a mutual decision between both parties. Michael was a great contributor; our hearts go out to his family and to all those who appreciate his talents. We wish him nothing but the very best.
We are currently writing and recording songs for a new album, as well as a couple compilations this fall. We are very excited about how the songs are shaping up and can’t wait to share them with you.
We’d like to thank Wes Styles for filling in for the live gigs in the interim, including the upcoming South America and Mexico shows. A belated thanks to Rob Gill for covering in Boston; and the biggest thank you to all of you for your unwavering support.
A new chapter awaits.

I guess only Michael Todd can decide his future. There are a few routes to choose from. Hopefully he'll be smart and not join the Layne Staley or Amy Winehouse crowd. Just as sad, there are some "hair farmers" who have led some real stupid life styles over the years - fucking their bands over, and having to hire baby sitters to care for grown men. You know the names, you know the faces. Time to put on your big boy pants Mr. Todd.
