X-Pretty Boy Floyd bassist Lesli Sanders gets sober, goes solo!

After years of heavy drinking and cigarettes, former Pretty Boy Floyd/Queeny Blast Pop bassist Lesli Sanders has gotten sober and become a lead singer. No punchline, a true story actually. The gangly party vet has a new band in Seattle called Prophets of Addiction, and they’re opening for L.A. Guns for a two-night stand next month in Oregon. In fact, Sleazeroxx.com just gave POA a great review for their CD, “Babylon Boulevard.” You can read it HERE.

Sanders has a hot new guitarist in Amit Leeron, who until this point was best known for playing with Nicollette Knight, a Keri Kelli-produced project featuring old Big Bang Babies covers – not exactly the world’s greatest rock pedigree.

There are also tentative plans for Prophets to hook on to a Warrant/Adler’s Appetite summer tour – and if that does not trigger Sanders to relapse, then nothing ever will.

All told, a good comeback story for Sanders. And not a bad CD, either.
