Brent had a surgery today to remove the cancer. It was 3 1/2 hr surgery, and it went very well. Until I left him at midnight, he was wide awake, and was curious about everything. He constantly wrote down questions about his conditions, and the surgery. He seems happy to hear that the doctors were very satisfied with the surgery. He's doing very good, and everything seems going well so far.

Please keep on pray for him until he's cancer-free!

Wishing Brent a fast & speedy recovery.

We just got off the phone with Brent Muscat and he has confirmed that he indeed has oral cancer. He asks of you, "If you are religious please say a prayer for me, and if you're not - just wish me well."

This sucks bad, and we hate to report this kind of news. Brent is a non-smoker, and drinks rarely. He is for the most part a cleaner more sober than usual rock star. He has always been a stand up guy and we're sure that his positive outlook will help him get through this.

Brent has infomred us that he will have an operation soon and they will likely have to remove a part of his tounge. He also states that the Dr. said his fast reaction to go in and get checked is a good thing.

"Wish Brent good luck, please! ( This is EJ, his wife. I'm writing this for Brent.)

About 8 weeks ago, he noticed a small bump on his tongue. And we really thought it was just a cold sore. About a week ago, his tounge became swollen. So he decided to see a doctor.

Yesterday the doctor informed us of some pretty bad news, that he has a cancer, and he needs to have surgery.

In the mean time he's going to be laying low and not playing any shows. Please wish him well and we would appreciate everybody's prayer.

PS. If you have a bump or any spot on your tongue, and if it doesn't go away in 2 weeks, go to see a doctor! Don't wait any longer than that!!!"
