Los Angeles -- Cherie Currie formerly of The Runaways to make appearance on the up coming SHAMELESS release "Beautiful Disaster."  This looks to be the singer's first appearance in studio (on record) in many years. Other than the 1998 compilation "Young And Wild" the last known official release with Currie was her 1980 release "Messin' With The Boys".

The German based band recently recorded in Los Angeles with producer Adam Hamilton (Leif Garret, Dale Bozzio, William Shatner).

The project founder and bassist Alexx Michael was elated to announce Currie's involvment. The following was posted on his Facebook last week:

You heard & love her music, you saw her movie and now .... The one and only queen of noise is back to rock you all.

Cherie Currie is performing two songs on the new Shameless album "Beautiful Disaster"

One of the songs "Dear Mum" was written by myself with the help of our friend Andy Brings. The second is a cover of the T Rex / Marc Bolan classic "Life's A Gas" where she performs a mind blowing duet with Steve Summers."  -- Alexx Michael

This will be the 6th studio effort from the Munich based band. SHAMELESS have featured a who's who list of guest stars over the years. Since their 1999 debut there have been appearances by; Eric Singer of KISS, John Corabi (Ex. Motley Crue, Union), Phil Lewis of L.A. Guns, Teddy "Zig Zag" Andreas (Ex. Guns N' Roses, Alice Cooper Band), Robert Sweet of Stryper, Bruce Kulick (Ex. KISS) and the late Jani Lane (Warrant).
