Dear Metal Sludge Readers,

We won't take up too much of your time. Just a simple message to all our readers.

First off - thanks for logging on and keeping Metal Sludge alive.

Secondly, we ask that you PLEASE support our artists. Especially the indy bands, who are still busting ass. Not everyone from the 80s got to be KISS, POISON or MOTLEY CRUE.

Yet many guys are still rocking.

Off the top of my head...Bang Tango, Pretty Boy Floyd, Dangerous Toys, VAIN, Rhino Bucket, Enuff Z'nuff, Bullet Boys, LA Guns, Faster Pussycat, Danger Danger & Tuff. Of course we couldn't forget them. Lol.

Many of these bands self finance their own Cds, tours, and merchandise. So please, buy from them. Visit their sites, click their ads, buy from iTunes, their swag and more. Go to their shows, buy a shirt, put $ 15.00 in their pockets. I promise you we/they are not rich, or getting rich. But all those $ 10 cds and $ 15 tees add up and help pay for the Van, Gas, Motels and more. All for them to rock small clubs, on weeknights for you.

In the end they (we) can only hope to go home with some left over to pay the bills.

Recently VAIN released a new disc, as did Bang Tango and Jesse Haret from Southgang has a new project as well. Support them.

Add to this list. The other indy bands, who were not around 20 years ago, but are making records & touring as well - The Erotics, Hotel Diablo, Evick, The Compulsions, Methanol, etc.

Also, support Cathouse. Riki still prints the swag, and we have it HERE. Along with some classic Metal Sludge styles. Buy Sludge gear HERE - help keep the classic brands alive.

Lastly, Metal Sludge has been online since 1998, and we've continued to try and help keep the flame burning. Before MySpace, Twitter, Facebook and the dozens of other music sites - Sludge was helping preserve the style, sound and history of the 80s.
