11 year old Japanese guitar Goddess Sakura shreds Monsters of Rock Cruise during All-Star jam!

MORC — It’s not every day you get to see 40 bands on a boat! And it’s not every day you see an 11 year old (girl) shredding lead guitar on the main stage with rock stars 40 years her senior. But that is exactly what happened on the Monsters of Rock Cruise when Sakura took the stage to jam “Round N’ Round”.

The cruise featured performances by more than 3 dozen acts but a few special moments captured the hearts of a few thousands fans. One of those moments was when Sakura played lead on the Ratt signature song. The band Ratt was not on hand and even though the sold out throng of fans missed LA’s favorite rodents this helped make up for their absence.

The band Cheap Thrill played an extended jam with a bunch of rockers but it was Sakura‘s spotlight for sure. Check out Sakura below with Eric Brittingham of Cinderella (bass), Jeff LaBar of Cinderella, John Corabi (guitars), Troy Patrick Farrell (drums) and Jeremy Asbrock (guitar). Jason McMaster (Dangerous Toys) and Stevie Rachelle (Tuff) shared lead vocals.

Sakura is on Youtube playing everything from Ozzy Osbourne to Ratt, Loudness, Deep Purple and even Yngwie Malmsteen.
