Rumor Mill – Word on the street is that singer Oni Logan has once again left Lynch Mob. Add to that we are hearing that management and the agent representing the group have also followed this alleged path.
The band features 80s guitar heroe George Lynch who is best known for his work with Dokken. The group that sports his own last name, has had some ups and downs in recent years. In July 2011 Logan refused to join the band on a Summer tour in the eleventh hour.
The group issued a statement saying “Oni let the band and our fans down. He quit the band at 5:30 am before our 7:30 am scheduled flight. He left us high and dry and did not fulfill his commitment."
The band then flew out Chaz West (Bonham, Hollywood All-Stars) to finish the Summer tour. Watch "Into the Fire" featuring West on vocals.
On January 24th 2012 George Lynch announced Jesse Forte (Vains of Jenna) as the bands new frontman. Lynch in an interview with Junkman from KNAC says: "We’ve got a new singer, Jesse Forte from Vains of Jenna. So it’s Scot Coogan on drums from Ace Frehley, we’ve got Robbie Crane from RATT and myself and Jesse Forte, and that’s the new LYNCH MOB" .
A week later on January 31st 2012, Oni Logan was back in the band again and Forte was out.
Then on June 6th 2012, Eddie Trunk reported "Lynch Mob loses drummer Scott Coogan to join Lita Ford band". Coogan was briefly replaced by Brian Tichy (Billy Idol, Whitesnake, Forgeiner).
Last month we reported that bassist Robbie Crane had left the band with a simple two sentance press release. Crane went on to say: "With much thought and regret, I am resigning as the bass player of Lynch Mob…." Ironically Crane had left Ratt with a similar press release in March of 2012
Lynch Mob had just released a brand new release on Rat Pack Records titled "Sound Mountain Sessions" in August of this year.
Now the word on the street is that George may have lost Oni as his singer for the third time.
